I’m really looking forward to us seeing our parents together for Mother’s Day. I loved how you brought it up and how we should go see our parents. It means a lot to me that we’re doing this as a team — showing up for the people who raised us, together. Also, serene’s birthday. We looked for gifts together. I love and thank you for doing this with me. We picked some amazing gifts and I know she’s going to love it.

I know it’s going to be a full day, but I also know it’s going to be meaningful. Just being by your side during the drive down means everything.

And I’m really grateful for this Friday we have. Thank you so much for spending it with me to pick out gifts for serene. We’ve had our ups and downs, but I’m proud of the way we keep showing up. I still want us to plan better, communicate more, and stay ahead of what life throws at us. I’m learning — especially on days like these — to just be present and love you as you are, and as we are.
