When I get overwhelmed. I start talking fast. It’s something that I need to work on. I want to learn how to control that emotion so that I can do things more clearly and effectively without emotions getting in the way.
Good technique to help with this is pausing purposefully. I need to take a pause and imagine myself using a period or a comma in my head.
I need to give my listener time to digest and react more instead of flooding them with too much information. Pausing with a period like a natural sentence should help.
I should practice talking to myself whenever I feel myself getting into an emotional state.
